Bob Griffin’s Bar first opened its doors back in 1937. Bob Griffin (nee Devane) was originally from Ventry and married fisherman Patrick “Poggin” Griffin. Their bar incorporated a fisheries enterprise at the back of the premise where nets were barked - immersed in a solution containing oak or birch bark to help prevent salt water decay.
In 2019, the bar re-opened its doors after careful restoration. The interior retains its timeless feel as a window into the traditional Irish bar. The cosy adjoining rooms invite hushed conversation or a breakout singsong - depending on the group!
We love to support our local producers on the peninsula and invite you to come in and try Dick Mack’s Ale, West Kerry Brewery beers or our own Dingle Gin or Vodka.
